The Best Companies for Work-Life Balance

Currently, potential workers are looking to be employed by companies that offer a great work-life balance, ensuring the prioritization of their mental health and life outside of work. With so many people working from home during the pandemic, work-life balance is in more demand than ever before, and people are looking for flexible work options that fit their lifestyles.

Glassdoor, a platform specializing in employee insights, recently came out with a list of the top 10 companies in the United States for work-life balance. They used ratings from their site that include both full-time and part-time employees between the dates of January 1st, 2022 and September 28th, 2022. They include companies that have more than 1,000 employees and have a minimum of 50 ratings, with a score that has a five point scale.

With companies investing money in changing their protocols to allow employees more flexibility by offering flexible working hours, unlimited paid time off, and virtual healthcare policies, the competition for work-life balance is strong. On Glassdoor, the search phrase “mental health” for company reviews increased 91% from the years 2019-2022, along with the term “burnout” which increased 41%. This resulted in almost three out of every four employees listing a healthy work-life balance as a very important factor in determining where they wanted to apply.

The top ten companies with the best work-life balance and their scores out of five are ranked as follows: Dropbox (4.83), SailPoint Technologies (4.77), MathWorks (4.77), Asana (4.76), Box (4.75), Zeigler Auto Group (4.74), Atlassian (4.72), CoverMyMeds (4.65), Cornerstone Home Lending (4.64), eXp Realty (4.63).
